We take our responsibility to IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 seriously and our procedures and processes are designed to provide a high quality service, as well as to provide the environment for this to happen. Our procedures and processes are designed with quality at their core. Our dedicated Quality Control Staff perform in-process inspection, during every critical stage of our manufacturing processes, including soldering and crimping, prior to final product assembly.
Where possible, individual wires are cut and crimped on our Komax Gamma 255, Artos CR11 & MTX-5 cable preparation equipment, or multi-core cables are processed using our Kirsten Stripper Crimper. These use integrated Crimp Force Analysers which monitor each terminal applied to ensure your products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Our Mecal TT & Gamma Presses are connected to a CFA1000 Crimp Force analyser system to allow us to check the quality of all crimping operations carried out on our presses. This information helps to ensure that the quality of the crimping process is maintained from the beginning to the end of each batch of terminals applied.
We also use Mecmesin Test Equipment to validate the quality of the crimped terminations we are producing. We use an AFG-1000N tester for pull tests up to 1000 Newtons, and use an ILC-S 2500N where pull tests up to 2500 Newtons are required. This equipment measures the tension force required to pull apart or separate the components of a wire crimp. This helps to ensure the crimp joints are fit-for-purpose and thereby ensuring the safety and quality of your products and their compliance with any required industry standards. The Test Results also helps to provide relevant data during the prototype and pre-production stages, which helps to develop a detailed Quality Plan, specific to your product.
A SLE SBL Micro Crimp Cross Section Lab can also be used to cut a terminal in half and to photograph the section in order to help validate the crimping process. Test results from this process and from the Mecmesin Pull Tester can be provided to our customers to help show the quality and compliance of the manufacturing process.
Hand tools and applicator tooling performance are monitored to ensure their continued conformity.
Where appropriate products are electrically tested using our Cable Harness Test Equipment. We utilize Cirrus & Pambry Test Equipment with bespoke test fixtures to prove the functionality of your specific products at in-process and final inspection stages.
All assembly work is performed by our highly skilled and trained staff. We regularly review our training and skills matrix together with any defect data records to identify areas for extended or intensive training and process improvement.
